Gran Canaria is an island located in the Atlantic Ocean, it belongs to the Autonomous Region of the Canary Islands in Spain. Along with the islands of Lanzarote and Fuerteaventura it forms the province of Las Palmas, also made up of the small islands of La Graciosa, Alegranza, Montaña Clara, Roque del Este, Roque del Oeste and Isla de Lobos.
It is an authentic “miniature continent”, a special characteristic that has led UNESCO to declare more than 40% of the island a World Biosphere Reserve.
It is an island of contrasts, a spectacular showcase of landscapes that stands out for its natural riches, microclimates, and remarkable geographical relief.
